A note from the founder

Software for the people who do the quiet, important work of growing kids.

BunkLogs is reflection and growth software for summer camps and religious schools — built for counselors, madrichim, kitchen staff, faculty, and the leadership teams supporting them. We help staff notice what happened in their day, and help organizations see patterns across a season.

A look at the work

Three views from the platform — anonymized for the web, but representative of what counselors, unit heads, and directors see each day.

Coverage dashboard showing per-group, per-day reflection completion rates.
Plate I Coverage at a glance. Per-group, per-day completion across shared-roster templates — so directors know who's reflecting and who needs a nudge, before the week gets away from them.
Daily bunk logs table with social, behavior, and participation scores color-coded across rows of campers.
Plate II The daily view. Counselors log how each camper showed up across social, behavioral, and participation dimensions — a quick read that travels with the camper through the rest of the season.
Individual camper trend chart plotting social, behavior, and participation scores over time.
Plate III One camper across a season. Patterns that would be invisible in a stack of paper logs become legible — and the same arc continues year over year, as the same young person grows into new roles.
What we're building
  1. Role-aware reflection. Different prompts for counselors, madrichim, kitchen staff, specialists, and leadership — in English and Spanish, on the phones they already carry.
  2. Dashboards for the people who care. Unit heads, faculty, and directors see completion patterns, themes, and emerging concerns in time to act on them.
  3. Longitudinal growth. The same young person serves as a madrich at thirteen, a CIT at sixteen, a counselor at nineteen. We follow the arc.
